NET COUNT (NC 920) is a complete network data communication software developed to read the data from each of the radiation counting systems present in the RS 485 network, into a centralized personal computer system. NET COUNT resident in the PC works as the master and fetches the data from the slave counting system that is addressed, provided the addressed counting system is in the setup mode.
Data types downloaded include the following namely Sample data and Plateau data. Sample data comprises of S.NO, Label, RTC, Counts, Preset Time, Volume, Bq / Vol and Iterations. Plateau Data comprises of S.NO, EHT and COUNTS.
Different menu options provided in the software are indicated at the end of the data sheet. Windows with the typical menus are given below. Window below shows the startup screen of the NET COUNT software.
Important features of the software:
Centralized PC based counting system designed to communicate a network of counting systems
Communicates over half_duplex RS485 Port with the network of counting systems
Address configurable from 0 to 255
Proprietary protocol to facilitate configuration and data logging
The instrument parameters like instrument ID, type, date of report, EHT and sample data could be retrieved. Sample data typically consists of date of counting, label no, preset time, counts, volume, Bq/Volume, etc apart from background and sample data.

FILE MENU
Open Sample Data
Facilitates the user to open a Sample Text file or Sample Excel file which is
saved previously.
Open Plateau Data
Facilitates the user to open a Plateau Text file or Plateau Excel file which is
saved previously.
Exit
Facilitates the user to close the application.
CONFIGURE MENU
Com Port
Facilitates the user to configure the software to a Comport through which the
software will download the data from the Radiation Counting System.
Modify Station
Facilitates the user to modify station details.
Modify RTC
Facilitates the user to modify time and date.
DATA LOG MENU
Sample Data
Facilitates the user to download sample data from RC 605 A.
Plateau Data
Facilitates the user to download plateau data from RC 605 A.
Erase Readings
Facilitates the user to erase the readings from RC 605 A.
