MEDICAL CYCLOTRON STACK MONITORING SYSTEM
‘Medical Cyclotron Stack Monitoring System’, is primarily designed to monitor & measure stack activity release into the atmosphere through stack exhaust outlet. Detectors to measure stack release are mounted near the exhaust duct area & the measuring units are in the lab, preferably where from centralized monitoring is done.
Medical Cyclotron Stack Monitoring System, Type NXG_SMS777 consists of the following sub-systems namely
i) Air Flow Meter
ii) Cyclotron Stack Activity Monitor (based on GM Detector)
iii) Cyclotron Stack Activity Monitor (based on Scintillation Detector)
Stack activity is calculated in k.Bq/s. based on stack dimensions, Airflow rate, detector efficiency and certain other parameters. Specifications of the sub-systems are detailed in the following pages.
